CHAPTER 2
She has beautiful toes!
Sidharth realised. Her peeping tie ring compelled him to move forward and touch the metal. It was simple, just like her. A ring that ends with two leaves joining the end, representing them. Sidharth had not given it much thought when he had bought that for her, but now as his eyes fell on her feet, that simple piece of jewellery felt apt to their relationship. Two life's, joining together.
Sana felt his touch on her skin. Feeble, just a touch but her skin scorched with awareness. She jerked his fingers at once and pulled her feet inside her lehenga, appalled and disgusted.
" I think you should change." Sidharth didn't know how to start this conversation. The smart guy he was in his office, the outright extrovert and dominating, but he was fumbling to initiate a conversation with his wife. Weird it was. But that was what came to his mind at that moment. Her lehenga looked heavy. No, not looked, it was heavy. He had bought that too to know its weight. It was too heavy for that small delicate figure of hers.
Sana sat there, frozen. Not knowing what to reply in return she just took a deep breath in and nodded. This marriage had started to suffocate her already. Especially the apprehension of what was to happen next. Would he touch me now! She shivered thinking. He might! He had all the right didn't he! Her conscience scoffed and she takes some more. Gulping down that heavy lump down her throat, she managed to scoot down the bed. He was right, she needed to get out of this attire. The more it stayed upon her, the more it made her realise the reality that just surmised a few hours ago. Her marriage with this stranger!
